US $. It is best to take this in the form of cash with credit/debit cards as well.

What is the food like?
Chinese cuisine is great and thankfully far more varied than the 'Chinese' food that we are served up in the UK. Being vegetarian is not a problem although you need to order carefully - seek the help of your guide or better still learn a stock few phrases in Mandarin!
