The building of the Ex Convento San Pablo began in July 1529 and was completed in September 1547 as a convent for the order of Dominican nuns. It has kept its original spiritual ambiance, while providing a touch of modern comfort and transforming the former nuns' quarters into incomparably luxurious accommodations.
Today the Ex Convento San Pablo has been restored to its original splendour and is a truly majestic hotel with its unique architecture dating back to so long ago.
Located in the historic district, the Ex Convento San Pablo houses 35 deluxe rooms, air-conditioned and well ventilated, with beautiful colonial furnishings, fine craft work, and original antique oil paintings.
