Situated on a small island, Evenhue lodge consists of 2 wooden bungalows facing the lagoon a restaurant/lounge raised building in the centre and three domed tents each with their own bathrooms, and bucket shower and sheltered by a palm thatched roof.
The interior of the wooden bungalows are decorated with a unique local touch in particular the four-poster beds. The Evanhue lodge primary purpose is as a rehabilitation centre for orphaned gorillas. There is a family group of gorillas housed in an enclosure on the island and the resident staff here at Evenhue Lodge are highly knowledgeable and happy to share this with guests. During your stay at Evanhue the activities you can take part in include various island walks forest and savanna walk to St. Anne Mission and canoeing on the Fernan Vaz Lagoon around the island.
This tranquil place is brilliant for bird watching and animal spotting, including slender-snouted crocodiles basking on overhanging logs.
