Family Holidays

Festivals Worldwide

Festivals all over the world are a time of celebration when families converge to meet old friends to party and chat. They represent an opportunity to buy new clothes, for children to play games and for a brief moment to lift themselves out of an otherwise hard life. More often than not these festivals have evolved over centuries and are eagerly awaited each year by the locals. To the photographer they are a heaven sent opportunity and to the foreign visitor one of the most authentic and captivating travel experiences available.

The list is long but they include the whale festival at Hermanus in South Africa, the annual Golden Eagle festival in Mongolia, the Lemanja (Goddess of the Sea) festival celebrated on the beach in Rio de Janeiro or the Japanese Yamaga lantern festival and the 2010 Dakar Rally in Chile and Argentina. Our web site has full details.
