Hacienda Cusin
Hacienda Cusin is a charming 17th century farmhouse situated near the village of San Pablo de Lago, south of Otavalo.
This enchanting hacienda resides amongst 40 acres (16 hectares) of farmland that also encompasses a number of pretty cobblestone courtyards and secret gardens festooned with bougainvillaea, foxgloves, hollyhocks and orchids. Accommodation is scattered throughout the estate with all rooms, suites and cottages playing host to its own unique character and rusticity.
Delicious Ecuadorian cuisine is served by candlelight in the elaborately restored main house, complete with roaring log fires, chandeliers, Otavalan textiles and ancient family relics. Bespoke horse riding tours are a speciality at Hacienda Cusin, while guests can also take advantage of carefully routed mountain bike and hiking trails into the surrounding area.
