Aisen Region - Northern Patagonia

Scenic Highway, Chile

Aisen Region is a vast, untouched area of Chilean Patagonia flanked by the Lake District to the north and the Torres Del Paine to the south. As perhaps the least visited destination within Chile, this sparsely populated region has so much to offer.

The region is characterised by the tail end of the towering Andes Mountains, glacier blue lakes and rivers, temperate rainforest and many spectacular glaciers. Let’s not forget the Carretera Austral Southern Highway which takes drivers some 800 miles through the spectacular scenery of Aisen Region, travelling from Puerto Montt to the small village of Villa O’Higgins on the Argentinean border.

The principal reason to visit this region is that it offers a fantastic 'beyond the ordinary' travel experience that is almost unrivalled in Latin America.

Our Chile specialist, Oliver, has firsthand experience of Aisen Region after a recent visit. Read all about the trip on his blog or call 01285 885 333 for further information or advice on your holiday to Chile.
