M/Y Noctiluca, Patagonia

Noctiluca

M/Y Noctiluca is a traditional 57-foot motor yacht constructed on the island of Chiloe using typical Patagonian Cypress wood, combining local techniques with modern technology. Owned and run by the Westcott family who have more than 30 years of sailing experience in Patagonian waters, she offers a cosy atmosphere for those desiring an intimate vessel in search of a private adventure.

Departing from a private pier in Puerto Aisen on the Los Palos River, Noctiluca accommodates 8 passengers and 4 crew.  She offers two double guest cabins (lower double berth and upper single berth) and a front cabin with four single beds, all sharing two bathrooms with hot water and showers.

M/Y Noctiluca sails two routes through the Guaitecas Archipelago, the ‘classic’ and the ‘north’ including a stop at the majestic San Rafael Glacier and the family’s Hacienda Quiltralco sampling a traditional Patagonian asado.  Cruising through the little explored fjords, wildlife is in abundance with birds, leopard seals, sea lions, whales and dolphins all visible from the deck. Guests may also use the boat’s fishing equipment.  The Guaitecas Archipelago was declared biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 2008 with its natural hot springs and sea passages of Chilean Patagonia. A stay onboard M/Y Noctiluca can be combined with a stay at Puyuhuapi Hot Springs & Spa.
