Embiara
Embiara Lodge is located beside an outlet of the Rio Negro River in Southern Pantanal, on a large parcel of private land, approximately 6 hour’s drive overland from Campo Grande or an hour’s flight. Described as a mini boutique eco-lodge, Embiara offers 3 comfortable rooms, allowing for a highly personal service, in two standalone chalets and a double room in the main lodge.
The surrounding landscapes are home to a huge variety of fauna, with bountiful fish, a healthy population of caiman, giant otters, capybaras and tapir who share the river with the very private Jaguar and a myriad of local and migratory birds.
The activities on offer at the lodge are excellent; guests will have the chance to view the impressive wildlife on game drives, boat trips, walking safaris, fishing, bird watching, and even horse riding. Those who can ride well may even be able to join the cowboys on a cattle drive, locally named as a ‘commitiva’. The highly experienced multilingual guides, and the lodge owner who spends much of the year at the property, will help to showcase the best that the vast wetlands of the Southern Pantanal has to offer.
