Araras Eco Lodge
Araras Eco Lodge is a remote pousada situated more than 80 miles (130 kms) from Cuiaba along the Transpantaneira Park Road.
Nestled amongst verdant wetlands, this pioneering eco lodge was constructed to blend in with its natural surroundings and is committed to local environmental initiatives such as inhibiting deforestation along the banks of the Rio Clarinho and encouraging hyacinthe macaws to nest in the Northern Pantanal. Araras Eco Lodge offers 16 rooms furnished in a rustic regional style with a private shower room, ceiling fans and screened windows.
Days are steeped in adventure with horseback riding, canoeing, trekking, caiman spotting, piranha fishing and 4WD safari, to name just a few, and relaxation is sought amongst the hammocks and around the pool. During the evening, enjoy traditional regional suppers created with ingredients either grown on the farm or sourced locally.
