Casa Beija Flor, Canavieras
Casa Beija Flor is a beautiful private villa located a short distance along the beach from the small, sleepy town of Canavieras in Southern Bahia. Set back from the beach the Coconut House is set amidst the shade of the coconut trees of a former plantation and enjoys 200 metres of frontage onto a gorgeous virgin beach.
The villa offers five ensuite bedrooms spread across the ground and first floors. All rooms have private balconies, air-conditioning and separate dressing areas. Guests can enjoy the infinity pool and relax on the deck whilst the cook or a party member cooks up some fantastic local seafood on the barbecue under the shaded pergola. Includes: English speaking host (4 hours per day), maid service, local cook (8am – 5pm) and gardener.
Canavieras, the local town is only two kilometres from the villa. It is a pretty colonial port made up of pastel-coloured mansions built during the cacao boom of the 19th Century. The area is renowned for some of the best deep sea fishing in the Americas with wahoo, tuna and Marlin all prevalent species off the Royal Charlotte Bank. The town has a few good bars and seafood restaurants to enjoy freshly grilled shrimp and snapper with a cold beer or caipirinha.
The villa is approximately one hour 30 minutes drive from the nearest airport in Ilheus. Car rental is recommended for maximum independence. There are direct daily flights from Sao Paulo and Salvador and indirect flights from Rio de Janeiro.
