Irupe Lodge
Set in the small village of Colonia Carlos Pellegrini Irupe Lodge Irupe Lodge is named after a rare aquatic plant found in the Ibera wetlands. The property covers 15,000 square meters, the chance to see some of the 350 species of birds and a 20 metre wooden bridge shall bring you to the main house via Capybara and Caimans relaxing by the lake.
At Irupe Lodge there are just 8 rooms and a family suite which provide panoramic views to Lake Ibera. Superior rooms are in separate cabins hidden in the dense vegetation and the standard rooms are located in the main building and have direct access to a large lounge, library and open-air veranda with views to the lake.
Irupe features a pool, hammocks under mango trees and activities include day and night boat safaris along with horseriding, canoeing, cultural visits to estancias, fly-fishing, snorkelling treks and walks.
Irupe’s environmental policies include biodegradable amenities, recycling and a socio-cultural project which involves integration of the gaucho family traditions for visitors and preservation.
