These 2 countries are easily combined with Damascus and Beirut being just a few hours drive apart. Both countries boast some amazing ancient sites and although just across the mountains from each other this trip mixes the atmosphere of old town Damascus where you step back in time, with the modern seafront city of Beirut & the pretty fishing port of Byblos.
