Family Holiday Overview
Sri Lanka is a wonderful destination for a family holiday and is diverse and easy to get around. This itinerary includes many of the highlights along with some additional activities that should prove especially appealing to children. Visit the Elephant orphanage at Pinnawala, local villages, ancient sites and tea plantations plus camping out and searching for the elusive leopard before finishing your holiday in a fully staffed villa on the beach near the colonial city of Galle.

We have based this journey idea on accommodation that we know and love and think would be perfect for a family which means they are not always the cheapest option. We also appreciate that families need to travel during school holidays so this trip has a from price that has been based on travel during July and August.
When to go
We can tailor make this itinerary for you throughout the year, however the best time to travel to Sri Lanka is from September to November and February to May.
