Deogarh Castle
Built in the 18th Centuary, the Deogarh Castle has a domineering position over Mewar, 80 miles North of Udaipur, and the surrounding countryside. Built originally as a family residence in 1670 A.D Deogarh there is still a big family influence in the running of the hotel. Deogarh is also home to some impressive art, there are many frescoes on the walls of Deogarh Castle and there are great rooms to look around including Sheesh Mahal the hall of mirrors.
Each of the 50 rooms is elegantly decorated with private bathrooms. Every room is reflective of a different era and all offer the comfort and amenities of today. The majority of fresh ingredients is grown within the castle walls and typical Mewari gastronomy as well as international cuisine is served with traditional hospitality.
