Our specialists 'Must Do'
Take a walking safari in Satpura National Park. Spot the elusive Tiger in Kanha National park while staying at Shergarh Tented Camp. Explore the sites of Khajuraho, Gwalior and Mandu. Float down the Ken River, the morning light offers perfect photo opportunities for the plethora of birds that live here.

A little more about Madhya Pradesh
Madhya Pradesh is considered the heart of India, containing many of the least modernized tribal groups and most of India's remaining forest. Madhya Pradesh is not only home to two of India's best national parks at Kanha and Bandhavgarh but also some glorious, untouched historical gems. Sanchi's 2,000 year old stupas are a reflection of the Buddhist influences in this region.

The magnificent palaces of Orchha and temples of Khajuraho offer something a little different and the enormous Mandu Fort is an architectural gem, and was an inspiration to the master builders of the Taj Mahal. A real delight that is often overlooked and omitted from itineraries is the fascinating Gwalior Fort and a stay at the Usha Kiran Palace. Maheshwar on the banks of the Narmada River, a town renowned for its sari weaving and fascinating life on the ghats is also well worth visiting.

When to go
October through to mid March is a great time to visit MP, however the winter months of December and January offer significantly lower temperatures which may suit some of our travellers. One should be aware that flying in the region may involve some delays due to the fog and mornings and evenings can be almost freezing.
