Panchavatti
Panchavatti, a home that has been recently opened up to visitors by Lou Lou Van Damme provides an oasis of calm that is hard to find anywhere, let alone in Goa. It is peaceful and offers the ultimate refuge from the sometimes overwhelming frenzy of the Goan beaches.
All the meals are prepared by the resident and friendly cook, and Panchavatti's cuisine has become rather famous for its excellence. Activities available include swimming in Panchavatti's the pool, practicing yoga, indulging in a massage and exploring the library and CD collection.
Panchavatti is on the island of Corjuem. Situated on a hill, the 24 acre property overlooks the Mapusa River, and a rolling vista of paddy fields and hills. The view is magnificent. The island of Corjuem is situated 9kms from the main northern town of Mapusa in the village of Aldona. The beaches of Calangute, Baga, Anjuna and Vagator are a 30 minute drive away. The northern beaches of Morjim, Mandrem and Arambol are 45 minutes away.
