On the banks of the slow Mapusa River, surrounded by rice fields and coconut plantations, the market town of Moïra is said to owe its name to the Moorish occupation of the area. It is only a very short drive from the busier venues and beaches of Anjuna and Baga.
Goa Hideaway is a beautifully renovated old Portuguese villa in a rural setting in North Goa. Located on a quiet road the house has been sympathetically restored by its artistic English owner whom is the inspiration and energy behind this sought after home.
Goa Hideaway prides itself on its unfaltering service, provided by a wonderful team that includes Max, the House Manager, Lucas, the house boy and Max's wife, Dina who will cook up a storm for you. Specialties include Italian and Thai cooking alongside the sumptuous home cooked local cuisine on offer. Breakfast is a treat of organic fresh juices, breads, eggs yoghurts which come delivered daily from the village bakery and shops. You will not want for more staying at Goa Hideaway!
The swimming pool is set in grounds of Mango, Palms and Cashew Nuts and the sound of birdlife abounds. If you choose to relax at the house you can enjoy the privilege of yoga instructors, masseurs and beauty therapists coming to you. To venture further afield Max is a wealth of local knowledge and has been known to accompany his guests on daily jaunts to ensure they see the best that Goa has to offer. The beaches of Goa are a short drive away.
The villa is approximately a one hour and fifteen minute drive from Goa airport.
