This journey idea provides a walking experience while living in 'village houses' that avoids the over commercialization of Sikkim and takes you out, off the beaten track to the unspoilt villages of the valley. Live amoung the Sikkimese people for a few days, travelling at their gentle pace, learning about their daily lives and you can gain real insight into the unique Buddhist culture of this region. Visits to serene monasteries and the backdrop of the multiple white peaks of the Khangchendzonga Mountain (8598m).
