If you are looking for something different this 17 day itinerary offers a surprise at every turn through a diverse part of India. Tamil Nadu has remarkable temple architecture found in towns and villages across the region. You visit Tanjore with its captivating atmosphere and experience the evening ceremony at the mighty Meenakshi Temple in Madurai. A few days in the French enclave of Pondicherry provides a great contrast. You then continue into Karnataka where you watch the sunset from the eastern end of the tank at Badami and explore the enormous Hampi ruins which are hugely impressive. Your journey ends with a few days relaxing at a secluded beach retreat.
