Sihanoukville
The sleepy seaside town of Sihanoukville, also known as Krong Preah Sihanouk, is slowly being developed into a busy destination within the country. Surrounded by tropical style pristine beaches and undeveloped islands it is a true Cambodian coastal gem.
The town manages to incorporate the colonial style architecture such as Battambang and it is increasingly visited by travellers embarking on river journeys to see the little known freshwater dolphins.
Although development over the past few years in Sihanoukville has made the region a favorable destination for locals during the warmer months, it is still possible to discover untouched beaches and relax and enjoy the exquisite surroundings which are unique to this part of Cambodia.
