Trip Summary
A 17 day journey idea taking in many of the highlights of a holiday to Burma. Arrive into Yangon, Burma's largest and most modern city and take the time to visit some its most interesting sites. From here travel to Bagan, Burma's 11th century capital to view its remaining temples, many of which were destroyed by earthquakes. Also spend time at Mount Popa where you can meet a family that harvest sugar palms that are so prominent in this region.

Mandalay is the home of arts and crafts. Visit some of the monasteries in this area, take a horse and cart to some of the more remote spots and visit the famous wooden U-Bein bridge that spans 1.2km. Also take the chance to travel by boat along the Irrawaddy, on Inle Lake with its 'leg' rowers and visit Mrauk U.
