Short Breaks in Seville
Seville or Sevilla as the locals know it is a captivating city by day and tremendously atmospheric at night. Whether visiting some of the cities historical monuments and grand palaces or just sitting in a bar with a selection of tapas, sipping a cold glass of sangria and watching the world go by, this is a city with a large array on offer for travellers. The old Jewish quarter, Barrio Santa Cruz, is a myriad of cobbled backstreets, lined with traditional tapas bars and restaurants often opening out onto a small plaza draped with colourful bougainvillea where locals come to sit under the shade of an orange tree. The area is also home to one of our favourite boutique hotels Hacienda de San Rafael, located about forty minutes drive form the city centre it makes a perfect base for exploration of all Sevilla has to offer along with the many local olive groves and vineyards.
