Western Cuba Fly Drive

Vinales

A great value jaunt around western Cuba that includes city, country and beach. Havana is a hugely exciting city with plenty to keep you occupied but make sure that you leave time to lose yourself in the maze of cobbled alleyways of Havana Vieja, soaking up the rhythms of this musical capital as you drift between coffee shops and bars, enjoying the buzz of Havana street life. Then head west from the capital, perhaps visiting a cigar factory in Pinar del Rio before arriving at Vinales, one of Cuba’s most scenic regions.

Your hotel overlooks the tobacco-carpeted valley floor that’s contained by steep cliffs and dotted with tall limestone turrets and hills called mogotes. Free days here to walk, horse ride and explore the valley complex. It’s then a short drive to the coast for the ferry to Cayo Levisa, a small sandy atoll, where you can spend your days snorkeling, diving or just unwinding before returning to Havana for a final night prior to flying home.

Our trip suggestion includes prices with either private transfers or car hire for that little extra independence and flexibility. Driving times are not great between the various areas visited, allowing more time to explore, although the featured areas are very different and make for a varied and interesting itinerary.
