Las Clementinas

Las Clemantinas, Living Area

Standing in Casco Antiguo, the old town of Panama City, Las Clementinas is a superior boutique hotel and prides itself in ensuring the utmost service for guests.

From this location it is easy to explore this UNESCO World Heritage protected district of Panama City, where the buildings are in the process of being restored to their former grandeur. There is a heavy influence of French architecture from their time in the city  during their work on the canal. The cobbled streets and historical buildings make for a pleasant and interesting stroll and there is an excellent selection of restaurants in Casco Antiguo.

Built in 1930 as a block of six apartments, this building has been converted and is now a beautiful and elegant hotel, with six suites fitted in stylish neutral decor. Each suite based on its original apartment layout has a spacious lounge, en suite bathroom and a fully fitted kitchen. Comfort and privacy are two key elements found here, with a homely touch the suites are a wonderful space to rest and relax in.

For culinary interests the character full ‘Cafe & Bar’ serves delicious Panamanian classic dishes, created by the dedicated Chef Javier Lamarca using fresh local produce, some of which are grown in Las Clementinas garden. Dine in the Cafe or in the rather lovely Secret Garden which was hidden two storeys below street level for several decades. There is a wonderful feeling to this tucked away space where one can have family gatherings or even small weddings. The Palm Garden is an alternative place for guests and is where the restaurants herbs are grown.

For some of the best views in Casco head to the roof terrace, after climbing the four flights of stairs you will be rewarded with fantastic views of Panama City skyline, Ancon Hill and the Panama Canal. Guests and visitors can sit up here to take in the city views.

Please note this hotel is a restored building and does not have an elevator.
