Hotel DeVille
Tucked away in a peaceful leafy residential area just outside the hub of Panama City’s financial District, Hotel DeVille offers comfort in a superb location not far from many excellent galleries, restaurants and shopping boutiques.
This European-style hotel offers a lavish interior with highly polished marble floors, gilt chandeliers and contemporary art hangings in the lounge and along corridors. Hotel DeVille houses 33 spacious suites arranged over four storeys. Small soundproof windows ensure a good night sleep but do permit the amount of natural light flooding in. All suites feature tiled floors scattered with oriental rugs, soaring ceilings with exposed beams and attractive mahogany period-style furnishings. Each bathroom provides ample space with a large walk-in shower and attractive marble-clad countertops. Luxury suites benefit from a large living area and a separate shower and bath tub facility, while the Grand Suite also features two bedrooms including a master loft conversion.
Ten Bistro is Hotel DeVille’s excellent restaurant, serving a beautiful presentation of French Cuisine in a contemporary art-nouveau setting. Interestingly, the theme of Ten Bistro deems that all menu options are in selections of ten. The restaurant serves an extensive list of international wines and a selection of cocktails but the hotel does not have an official bar for guests to converge upon. There is, however, a choice of lively nightspots nearby.
