Set within a 12 acre coffee plantation surrounded by extensive gardens, Los Establos sits in an enviable location overlooked by the majestic Jaramillo Mountains and Volcan Baru dominating the skyline in Boquete Valley.
Horse riding artefacts and cowhide rugs scattered throughout Los Establos provide clues to the property’s equestrian past. Renovated into a two-storey hacienda, this boutique hotel offers 8 lavish guest rooms including 2 suites. Each room is awash with earthy tones, terracotta tiled floors and rich colonial style furnishings. A comfortable queen bed is appointed with fine down comforters and pillows and each private bathroom provides a walk-in shower facility. Suites also benefit from four poster beds and an enclosed glass patio with spectacular views across the gardens or mountains.
Although Los Establos serves a delicious breakfast, it does not currently house a restaurant; various dining options are available in Boquete, a short taxi ride away. Paths meandering throughout the extensive grounds lead to the coffee plantation where guests are welcome to join daily tours and sample Los Establos’ own brand of gourmet coffee. For those wishing to explore the local area, Boquete provides dozens of opportunities including rafting, kayaking, zip wiring through the forest canopy and bird watching tours.
