Built in 2004 in Hobart (Tasmania) the Discovery is a 33 meter catamaran which accommodates just 24 passengers in her 12 cabins. She offers luxurious accommodation with floor to ceiling glassed walls in her dining area, bar and lounge, all located on the mid deck providing spectacular views. She offers ample outside space for all passengers, on either the forward deck, bridge or on the large sun deck and BBQ area towards the stern of the top deck.
Her 12 cabins, all located on the main deck, offer large picture windows with en-suite facilities and individual climate control. There is a choice of two cabin categories; category 1 with either a Queen-sized bed or two Twin beds in a 116 square foot cabin, or category 2 with one Queen-sized bed in a 133 square foot cabin.
She has two zodiac/tenders for excursions, along with a selection of double and single kayaks which guests are free to use. The Discovery is equipped with a unique stern platform that lowers kayakers gently into the water and also retrieves them in perfect safety and comfort. Snorkelling equipment is also provided.
