Casa del Balam
Authentic Yucatecan charm permeates the walls of Casa del Balam, a family run boutique hotel in the heart of Merida’s historic centre.
Moorish-style stone archways frame the attractive interior courtyard nestled at the core of Casa del Balam. A series of gallery walkways hover above the courtyard stone fountain, providing access to 30 spacious guest rooms and suites. All rooms feature low ceilings and chequer tiled floors with a blend of handcrafted wrought iron and cedar wood furnishings.
Breakfast and dinner is served at ‘Las Palomas Bistro’ or in the courtyard surrounded by a verdant tropical garden. A collection of fine tequilas is available in the main bar and a small pool provides refreshment during warm afternoons.
