Hacienda Uayamon

Hacienda Uayamon

Nestled alongside imposing stone archways leading dramatically into open enclosures accentuated by towering columns, Hacienda Uayamon evokes a hopelessly romantic ambience in homage to its affluent history.

This former XVII century ranch and henequen plantation houses a collection of 12 luxurious villa rooms and suites with soaring ceiling beams, tiled floors, period-style mahogany furnishings and beautiful garden views. Suite accommodation also provides ample living space and a bathroom with glass doors opening out into a private whirlpool.

Meandering pathways lead to various ruins dotted throughout these extensive grounds including a crumbling chapel still used for the occasional wedding ceremony, stables and former machinery rooms. The most magical stone enclosure belongs to the pool; draped with hammocks it provides a unique and secluded hideaway. The hacienda serves local cuisine and innovative dishes created with local produce inside its restaurant and outside on the balcony terrace.

Situated within easy reach of Edzna and the walled town of Campeche, Hacienda Uayamon provides a peaceful retreat in a classic colonial setting.
