Casa de la Sierra Nevada is the elaborate restoration and unification of several colonial mansions in the heart of San Miguel de Allende.
Accommodation comprises 31 deluxe rooms and suites arranged amongst four noble mansions dating back as far as the 16th century. Each room possesses a distinctive charm with beamed ceilings, warm Mexican tones and regional furnishings including contemporary art, antiques, exquisite fabrics and beautiful Talavera-tiled bathrooms. Suites are much larger than deluxe accommodation with air conditioning, a fireplace, oversized bath with separate shower stall and a private terrace with plunge pool.
The hotel features two exquisite dining experiences often accompanied with a live piano concerto at dinner. Guests can choose from ‘Casa del Parque’ which serves innovative Mexican cuisine in the main dining room and outside on the garden patio, or ‘Andanza’ where continental dishes infused with regional flavours are enjoyed. The attractive ‘Blue Bar’ extends out onto the patio overlooking the bustling cobble stoned streets, providing a relaxed setting for pre-dinner cocktails or aperitif.
