Verana
Verana is a remote and effortlessly romantic hideaway carved into the jungle clad mountains of Valle de Sierra just south of Puerto Vallarta. To reach this secluded oasis is an adventure in itself with a boat ride from Yelapa along the Pacific coast followed by a short trek with mules through lush jungle.
This rustic resort consists of 8 private and distinctive thatched casitas set into the hillside amidst palm trees. Each casita features its own private terrace with outstanding views across the local vista. Palapa is the most popular of these casitas, it has no windows, its walls are waist high, and showers and baths are outdoors. Electronic devices such as telephones are discouraged in favour of pure relaxation and serenity.
Verana’s spa certainly promotes a calm ambience with indulgent body and facial treatments and massage. Guests will also enjoy the open-air soaking baths and a watsu massage pool surrounded by candlelight beneath a luminous open night sky.
