Majahuitas
Majahuitas is a remote eco-resort situated on a pristine stretch of sandy beach only accessible by sea. A scenic boat ride from the harbour of Boca de Tomatlan transfers guests to this picturesque cove located on the Bay of Banderas, situated south of Puerto Vallarta between Quimixto & Yelapa.
A series of meandering walkways illuminated by lanterns and candlelight lead guests to Majahuitas’ collection of 8 casitas, perched on the hillside or dotted directly along the shoreline on stilts. Each casita is open air and spacious with simple amenities and a private terrace with hammocks overlooking the beach.
The food at Majahuitas is particularly good and beautifully presented. Enjoy a variety of local dishes including freshly caught seafood served at the grand table in the main house or for a more romantic occasion, al fresco on the beachfront.
Snorkelling is the main activity here with access to an underwater canyon nearby frequented by mantle rays, dolphins and the occasional sea turtle. Bird watching is rewarding too in the nearby jungle, or for exploration further a field it is possible to visit coastal villages such as Quimixto by boat.
