Posada del Hidalgo
Posada del Hidalgo is a beautiful converted colonial mansion located in the heart of the charming town of El Fuerte. Situated below the old Fort, Posada del Hidalgo was built in 1890 and is believed to be the site of the original home of ‘EL Zorro’ the very Don Diego de la Vega. The hotel has 54 rooms split into three sections. The newer part of the hotel has delightful rooms located around a well-tended garden where the fountain statue of El Zorro stands. The old part of the house has the original rooms and some charming spacious high ceiling rooms set around an inner courtyard. All rooms have private bathrooms and A/C. There is an inviting pool, restaurant and bar to enjoy a refreshing margarita.
