Parador San Juan de Dios
Situated in one of the oldest neighbourhoods of San Cristobal de las Casas, Parador San Juan de Dios is a charming boutique hotel that occupies the former Rancho Harvard, a 17th century hacienda historically dedicated to wheat cultivation.
Surrounded by stately gardens, Parador San Juan de Dios offers 12 unique guest rooms and suites dedicated to various anthropologists and historical authors. All rooms feature a working fireplace and are elegantly furnished with antiques and contemporary paintings. Suites include a larger bathroom with private Jacuzzi.
The hotel offers two dining experiences, ‘Agapandos’ housed in the main building, and ‘The Terrace’ situated in the gardens. Both restaurants prepare traditional and innovative Chipancecan and Mediterranean cuisine using organic, home grown produce cooked in a traditional log burning oven.
