Casa Mexicana
Enormous amounts of energy have transformed Casa Mexicana from a former mansion into a boutique hotel that embodies the colonial ambience the city of San Cristobal de las Casas is most famous for.
Many of the 54 guestrooms and suites overlook tropical gardens or a courtyard and the décor is typically Mexican with invitingly warm tones. All guest rooms have spacious bathrooms and suites also feature a private Jacuzzi. Casa Mexicana showcases its own art gallery and corridors are filled with local artwork and photographs. The lobby and atrium benefits from good natural lighting flooding through the impressive glass ceilings and the restaurant ‘Los Magueyes’ which overlooks a pretty courtyard serves a varied menu of both local and international cuisine.
Many of San Cristobal de las Casas’ local attractions are within walking distance of Casa Mexicana, including the main plaza and the church of Santo Domingo.
