La Cocotera Resort & Ecolodge
La Cocotera is small and eco friendly beachfront resort located on the Pacific Ocean at the fishing village of La Barra de Santiago. Six two-storey bungalows house two stylish rooms per bungalow. Two bungalows face the beach and four face the estuary. All rooms are spacious and airy and boast a fresh and modern design, with either twin or double beds and en-suite bathrooms. The top floor rooms have a sizeable balcony whereas the ground floor offers a spacious patio terrace.
A refreshing pool and comfortable restaurant offer a relaxing base to unwind. For those looking for more adventure, surfing, kayaking, bird watching and tours to nearby cloud forests and archaeological sites can be arranged. Cocotera also holds the Certification for Sustainable Tourism (CST).
