Cariblue Bungalows
Resting against a backdrop of tropical forest just a few metres beyond the southern shores of Playa Cocles, Cariblue Bungalows offer a tranquil setting close to many local attractions in Limon province.
This boutique resort offers a collection of 22 rustic bungalows scattered throughout five acres of exuberant tropical gardens. Each individual bungalow houses spacious quarters beneath a pitch thatch roof. Tropical wood floorings and stylish bamboo furnishings, including king or queen bedsteads draped in mosquito nets, provide simple and comfortable accommodation. Attractive mosaic tiles depicting local wildlife, decorate each large shower stall, and a private balcony or veranda strung with hammocks offers the perfect opportunity to relax and admire the surrounding garden views. In addition, a large wooden house provides accommodation for up to seven guests in two bedrooms with two bathrooms and an equipped kitchen. Deluxe bungalows only are air conditioned.
A lovely freeform pool with swim-up bar is set adjacent to the restaurant, ‘Sole Luna,’ where guests can dine by candlelight and savour a choice of Italian cuisine and seafood specialities. The resort also features a children’s splash pool and a Jacuzzi.
The small harbour town of Puerto Viejo with several beachfront restaurants, shops and cafés is located just one mile from Cariblue Bungalows. Thrill seekers will enjoy the opportunity to explore local primary forest by ATV and canopy zip line tours, while the tide pools and reefs at Cahuita National Park are popular with snorkelers.
