Azania Bungalows
Azania Bungalows are situated just steps from Cocles Beach, one of many reputable surfing havens dotted along the South Caribbean Coast, and just minutes from the vibrant coastal town of Puerto Viejo de Talamanca in Limon province.
This peaceful resort comprises 8 A-frame bungalows peaking through tropical gardens abundant with ginger flowers, bromeliads, heliconia, and shady palms. Each spacious bungalow comfortably accommodates up to four guests with one double platform bed and two twin beds; one located on a private mezzanine hovering in the loft vicinity, all are draped in mosquito nets. Bamboo lights offer a soft glow to the rich hardwood floors and furnishings, and the high thatched ceilings keep rooms cool. All bungalows offer an adjoining deck strung with hammocks.
A crescent-shaped free form pool offers cool refreshment with the opportunity to relax upon lounges encircling the terrace. The attractive poolside area also serves as the setting for breakfast, lunch and dinner with Argentinean cuisine and local specialities being served beneath an enormous palapa.
There are many local attractions, including Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge, a low level rainforest and wetland area providing sanctuary to many endangered species including keel-billed toucans, tapir and manatee. From the quiet fishing village of Manzanillo boat excursions offer the opportunity to glimpse dolphins and visit numerous snorkelling sites.
