Siquirres
This small town nestled inland from the Caribbean Coast has been a long-serving transportation hub for tourists and commerce merely passing through en-route to the bustling towns of Puerto Limon, Guapiles and Parismina. With a smattering of cacao and banana plantations fringed by lowland tropical forest, Siquirres’ provides a peaceful base for access to activities such as white water rafting along the majestic Pacuare River, ranked amongst the best by National Geographic, and also as a springboard to biological reserves such as Tortuguero National Park.
