Punta Islita

Punta Islita

Hotel Punta Islita is carved into steep tiers along a rocky outcrop on the Nicoya Peninsula, framing spectacular vistas across the Pacific Ocean from every vantage.

Surrounded by few rural villages on the grounds of a former cattle ranch, Hotel Punta Islita offers a lavish collection of guest rooms, casitas and villa’s in a reasonably remote area of Guanacaste Province. All accommodation features a private en-suite bathroom with large bath tub, rough hewn bed frames, terracotta tiles, and walls awash with warm tones. Rooms are cooled with ceiling fans or air conditioning and open out onto a private patio strung with hammocks. Suites host a romantic ambience with peaked ceilings, a canopied king-size bed, lounge area, and a Jacuzzi on a partially shaded terrace. Casitas are more rustic with bold touches of colour, rough hewn doors, a canopied king-size bed, beautiful tapestries, day bed, and a private terrace with gardens and a plunge pool. Two individual villas offer spacious accommodation ideal for families, with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and a terrace with a private plunge pool and shaded deck area.

Guests can relish Costa Rican fusion cuisine at ‘1492 Restaurant’, a stylish setting beneath an enormous palm thatched roof. The family restaurant at ‘Borrancho Beach Club’ serves lighter menu options adjacent to a children's playground and large free form pool with swim-up bar. A magnificent infinity pool bordered by an ample sun deck and manicured gardens presents a further swimming option.

Casa Spa offers a range of healing therapies inspired by Chorotega culture for men and women, plus a small selection of fun treatments for children. The resort also provides a fully equipped gym, two tennis courts, a nine-hole golf course and a zip line canopy tour.
