Capitan Suizo rests on the cusp of Playa Tamarindo where it epitomises the laid back charm of this sleepy fishing town.
This beachfront hotel offers 22 guest rooms, 8 bungalows (including a honeymoon option) and a four bedroom suite ideal for families. Guest rooms are housed in a series of two storey buildings; ground floor accommodation is air-conditioned, while the upper levels are cooled with ceiling fans and good ventilation. All rooms are bright with an open plan lounge and bedroom following out into an enclosed shower room. From each private patio or balcony the views sweep over the surrounding tropical gardens or out towards the Pacific Ocean. The four bedroom suite is situated on the second floor of the main house with two en-suite shower rooms, a Jacuzzi, living area and spacious balcony.
Bungalow accommodation is spacious with a similar floor plan to the guest rooms plus the additional benefit of a bath tub and an inviting outdoor shower. The honeymoon bungalow is more secluded with a king size bed nestled under the beamed roof and a selection of beautiful hard wood furnishings. Dimmer lights add a romantic ambience coupled with a Jacuzzi in the enormous bathroom. Attractive sliding doors open out onto a spacious terrace featuring a hammock and ocean views.
European cuisine infused with delicate local flavours is served by candlelight on the beachfront terrace, and occasionally accompanied by live marimba music.
Although the beach is just a few steps away, Capitan Suizo also offers a free-form swimming pool. Surfing, sailing and volleyball are just a few of the activities available locally. An 18-hole golf course is located 20 minutes from Capitan Suizo, while a renowned scuba diving site around the Catalina Islands are just a 45 minute boat ride away.
