Arenas del Mar
Arenas del Mar blends unobtrusively into a steep verdant ridge flanked on both sides by the secluded stretches of Playa Espadilla and Playa Playita adjacent to Manuel Antonio National Park, just 10 minutes west of Puerto Quepos.
A collection of 38 superior rooms and suites is distributed amongst a series of three-storey villas. Each superior guest room is awash with warm spicy tones complemented by a smattering of beautiful hardwood, bamboo and sustainable wicker furnishings. Captivating watercolours hang above each king-size bed and large picture windows slide out on to a spacious deck overlooking the rainforest or out towards the Pacific Ocean. Lavish bathrooms feature glass bricks and mosaic tiles with a spacious circular shower. Suites also benefit from a crescent shaped Jacuzzi nestled into the balcony area. In addition, the Ocean View Premium Suite features two bathrooms, lounge and a large pull-out sofa bed.
Locally inspired cuisine and seafood dishes are served in a tranquil setting overlooking Espadilla Beach at El Mirador Restaurant, alongside a popular bar offering new world wines, cocktails and traditional Costa Rican drinks such as ‘Horchata’. Light snacks, wraps and salads are served at Playitas Restaurant & Bar adjacent to Playitas Beach.
Located beneath the main restaurant, Las Brisas Spa offers a variety of indulging treatments including massage, exfoliation and body wraps using locally produced beauty products. The hotel also offers a well-stocked gift shop, and from the freeform pool guests can relax on a wooden sundeck while overlooking the tropical forest and Pacific Ocean. Set in 11 acres, the grounds feature a number of private nature trails worthy of exploration, and guests are just a few minutes away from the mangroves and rainforest of Manuel Antonio National Park.
