Tabacon Grand Spa Thermal Resort is nestled amongst primary rainforest within the protected boundaries of Arenal National Park, just steps away from a mineral-rich thermal spring fed directly by Arenal Volcano.
The resort features 114 air-conditioned guest rooms and suites distributed in one or two storey buildings, with exception of the Honeymoon Suite; occupying a private bungalow in the rainforest and offering the best view of Arenal Volcano. Guest rooms are warm and inviting with hand carved dark wood furnishings, tiled floors and decor awash with rich earthy tones. Bathrooms are spacious with a glass enclosed shower, and some rooms also feature a deep bath tub and Jacuzzi.
Tabacon Grand Spa Thermal Resort offers a choice of three dining experiences. Gourmet cuisine inspired by international flavours, a la carte and buffet options are served at ‘Los Tucanes’ in an alfresco setting accompanied by live music and superb volcano views. ‘Ave del Paraiso’ serves light lunches and buffet style dinners on a balcony overlooking the hot spring pools and tropical gardens. For a more intimate and romantic setting, private candlelit suppers can be specially prepared in the botanical gardens next to the thermal springs. The resort also offers three bars located in the lobby, main pool and next to river.
Specialising in hydrotherapy, massage and volcanic mud treatments, The Grand Spa is highly acclaimed with several awards to its name. Yoga classes are also on offer at the spa, on an individual or group basis.
Tabacon Hot Springs are undoubtedly the main resort attraction. Enjoyed by guests and day visitors alike, the thermo-mineral river meanders through tropical gardens, over waterfalls and into twelve natural spring pools located around the resort with temperatures ranging from 27ºc to 42ºc.
