Arenal Observatory Lodge
Perched on a ridge, Arenal Observatory Lodge offers dramatic views of the volcano and surrounding area. It is situated in a private nature reserve, less than two miles from Arenal volcano. Arenal volcano fluctuates in activity and blooms of smoke and rumbles are often seen and heard.
Comprising of 45 rooms in total, the two junior suites have two king beds, walk in wardrobes and terraces; there are 23 Smithsonian rooms with a king size bed, en suite bathroom, some are equipped for disabled guests; 15 standard rooms with a double bed and one bunk bed and en suite bathroom and finally La Casona rooms are fitted with queen size beds and have shared bathrooms.
Alternatively there is the White Hawk villa which is a little further from the main building. With a glass front the villa offers breathtaking views of the volcano. There is a spacious lounge, a fully fitted kitchen and the villa sleeps eight guests.
