Arenal Kioro Suites & Spa
Perched on a hillside six miles north west of La Fortuna, Arenal Kioro Suites & Spa offers the most astounding and unobstructed views of Arenal Volcano in the local area. Notable too are the hotel’s efforts in support of sustainable tourism which have earned them recognition by the Costa Rica Institute of Tourism.
Regardless of where you are in the grounds, every opportunity to view the majestic volcano, situated just 1 mile from the hotel, has been considered. All 53 suites feature a Jacuzzi set before enormous picture windows offering volcano views. The beds too, are strategically positioned for guests to watch the spectacular pyroclastic flows that occasionally illuminate the volcano at night. Awash with bright colours, tiled floors, soaring ceilings and dark wood rattan furnishings, each suite is spacious and welcoming. For families, some suites are also interconnecting.
Beautifully presented gourmet cuisine is served at lunch and dinner in the main restaurant, ‘Orquidea,’ or guests can choose from a selection of local and international dishes at ‘Heliconias,’ also the setting for buffet style breakfasts. Light snacks and aperitifs are available in the poolside bar.
A private thermal stream of mineral-rich water cascades through natural rock formations into 8 different plunge pools around the hotel. There is also a large pool and separate splash pool for children set in lovely tropical gardens overlooked by the volcano. Pampering spa packages for both men and women are available in Neidin Spa, including massage, volcanic mud treatments and reflexology. Arenal Kioro Suites & Spa also offers a small gym, games room and a gift shop.
