The Inn at Roberts Grove
The Inn at Roberts Grove occupies a beautiful beachfront setting lapped by the warm shallows of the Caribbean Sea in front of Placencia Lagoon.
This well-established hotel houses 52 attractive rooms and suites, all strategically positioned to encompass tranquil pool, beach and ocean views. All accommodation is air conditioned with one or two bedrooms and a futon couch suitable for young children. Native hardwood furnishings, artwork, colourful textiles and Mexican terracotta floors are set below high beamed ceilings. Second floor rooms offer airy cathedral style ceilings and rear balconies. Suites are commodious with the addition of a living area, kitchenette and wraparound terrace. The inn also houses a Grand Villa Suite with three bedrooms, particularly idea for families.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner at The Seaside Restaurant encompasses a blend of Mediterranean, Belizean and Caribbean flavours with a popular weekly barbeque set at the poolside and accompanied by live music. Spicy dishes are on offer at the Habanero Mexican Café & Bar, situated on Robert Groves Marina and overlooking Placencia Lagoon, an ideal setting for sunset cocktails.
Aside from the inviting beach, guests can choose from three beachside freshwater pools and rooftop Jacuzzi’s. The dive shop at Roberts Grove offers a full programme of PADI accreditation courses and organises daily trips to both the inner and outer reef with an experienced PADI Dive Master. Further activities include a range of fishing packages, complimentary use of sea kayaks and mountain bikes to explore the local area, and tennis in Placencia’s only flood-lit tennis court. An air-conditioned fitness gym is also available.
