Hidden Valley Inn
As the name suggests Hidden Valley Inn is an isolated lodge, immersed in a private nature reserve encompassing 7,200 acres of staggeringly beautiful scenery in Mountain Pine Ridge.
This intimate resort offers a collection of 12 cottages dotted around the main house. All cottages are extremely spacious, providing comfortable accommodation for up to two guests or a small family. Accommodation comprises one or two bedrooms, a lounge area, and an en-suite bathroom with a combined claw-foot bathtub and shower facility, leading out into an open air shower courtyard in deluxe cottages only. A working fireplace keeps each cottage snug during cooler evenings, with two plump armchairs for additional comfort.
The main house is warm and inviting with four fireplaces, three lounges, a bar and dining room. Breakfasts are buffet-style with fresh coffee produced on the estate. The evening menu changes daily with appetizers, entrees and desserts inspired by local and international recipes, served in the dining room or alfresco on the terrace alongside the freeform pool and Jacuzzi area.
Hidden Valley Inn hosts a network of excellent nature trails exclusive to guests only and leading to a number of scenic waterfalls and swimming holes within its private reserve. The trails are also excellent for bird watching and discovering many of the 72 species of delicate orchids and bromeliads that flourish in the northern region of the Maya Mountains.
