North Island - Wellington Region Holidays
The last stop before reaching the South Island is New Zealand’s capital, Wellington. A fine harbour city and a centre for culture and the arts. Home to New Zealand’s Parliament, Victoria University and the famed Te Papa Museum with its excellent Maori collection, coupled with a host of restaurants, cafes, galleries and theatres make this city well visiting for a few days.
The area surrounding Wellington boasts rugged coastlines, some excellent walking and a number of less known but wonderful wine producers.
