Faraway Bay
Faraway Bay is a Bush Camp that lives up to its name, nestled in a far corner of the rugged Kimberley coast. Bruce and Robyn Ellison have made this remote and wild spot their home; perched on the cliff top, from where dugongs, sharks and even crocodiles can be seen in the bay below.
Bruce is a larger than life bush character, whose stories from his fishing and hunting days ensure a lively conversation at dinner. It is his knowledge of this coastline and the surrounding bush that makes Faraway Bay a particularly special experience.
Discover pristine beaches; picnics at Monitor Pool, a magnificent plunge pool at the foot of imposing sandstone cliffs and a refreshing place for swimming; spectacular waterfalls cascading hundreds of feet, fishing, discovering Aboriginal rock art, bird-watching, beachcombing and time for doing nothing at all! You can also cruise along the Kimberley coast in Bruce’s 13 metre boat, Diamond Lass, and head for a picnic lunch at the foot of the King George River.
