Bamurru Plains
Bamurru Plains is an exclusive bush camp located on the edge of Kakadu National Park on the Mary River floodplains. A multitude of bird and wildlife are on the doorstep of this unique camp which gives visitors the opportunity to explore this remote and beautiful wilderness whilst staying in style.
Guest accommodation comprises of nine spacious and cool safari suites; built amongst the savannah bush on the edge of the floodplains. Each suite is ensuite and raised on a timber platform with ample space to relax while watching the resident wildlife - from Blue-winged Kookaburras at dawn to buffalo splashing through the floodplains and the chorus of tens of thousands of Magpie Geese, after whom the camp is named.
The chef at Bamurru prepares delicious meals which are shared around a communal table with your fellow travellers, hosts and guides. Lunch is often served on the deck, perhaps a BBQ, cooked as you refresh yourself in the swimming pool overlooking the plains.
